I have been professionally immersed in the event planning industry since March 2023. In that time, I’ve had the pleasure of helping numerous clients plan and coordinate unforgettable weddings, as well experience with corporate and industry events. My passion for events extends beyond logistics — I thrive on the creativity of design and, most importantly, the opportunity to build meaningful relationships. Every event I plan is not just an event or experience, but it’s also a connection with the people I work with.
I truly believe that events are as unique as the people they are for and that is what I want to do for you. “Events made with love…” is not just a slogan, it is from my heart.
When I am not working, I loveeeee constantly re-decorating my home, spending time with my husband, dog and three cats, and hot yoga! However, I am complete workaholic; besides Events by Emily, I work full time at the University of North Dakota as an Events & Communication Specialist as well as bartending a few nights a week. I love what I do and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Macey Schlenker

I have experience in event planning through shadowing event planners, coordinating events at Valley City State University, and organizing personal events for friends and family. My favorite part of event planning is finding creative ways to make everyone’s dreams and ideas come to life. Because of this, I think that the more unique and personal the idea, the better!
I treat every event with the care, excitement, and love that I would bring to my own personal event which is why I deeply resonate with “Events made with love…”.
In my free time, I like to go back home to visit my parents and our 15-year-old cat, playing video games, or doing anything creative and artsy like painting or drawing. Another activity I enjoy is traveling with my family whether it’s close to home or outside of the USA. I also have another job outside of Events by Emily, which is working for Folkways at the Broadway Square in Fargo, ND where I can also participate in my enjoyment of working at events.
